This tutorial is designed to help users learn how to configure their Outlook
Express to be used to get POP email from the MODAware mail servers.
To avoid confusion we will walk thru the process using a fake user.
Our fake user will be Mickey Mouse, below is the fake users Information:

Step 1
You will first need the following information about each account that you want
to configure.Its important to understand the username and password for email accounts will be the same asthe username and password used to login to MODAware. But the format is a little different.
Username
This is in the username format username@domain_name. Since Mickey uses mmouse as the username when he logs into MODAware his email account Username would be mmouse@mouseland.com
Password
This is the password the user uses to login to MODAware. Mickeys logins into MODAware with the password welcome So Mickeys password for his email account will be welcome as well.
Mail Server
The Mail Server indicates which server is designated to recieve email for your domain_name.
To find the correct Mail server name for your email:
At the MODAware console Click the MODAWare button on the top menu. Then click the configuration Button. Under
E-mail Configuration will be the name of the Mail Server designated for your domain.
SMTP Server
The SMTP Server indicates which server is designated to send email for your domain_name.
To find the correct SMTP server name for your email:
At the MODAware console Click the MODAWare button on the top menu. Then click the configuration Button. Under
E-mail Configuration will be the name of the SMTP Server designated for your domain.
SMTP account
The username to login to the SMTP server to send mail.
To find the correct SMTP server name for your email:
At the MODAware console Click the MODAWare button on the top menu. Then click the configuration Button. Under
E-mail Configuration will be the name of the SMTP Account designated for your domain.
SMTP password
The password to login to the SMTP server to send mail.

At the MODAware console Click the MODAWare button on the top menu. Then click the configuration Button. Under
E-mail Configuration will be the name of the SMTP Server designated for your domain.
Step 2
Now that we have all the information, to set up the account username,password,Mail Server,SMTP server. Lets get started!
Start your Outlook Express program.
Step 3
Click on "Tools" from the Menu Bar and then select "Accounts...". You will then
select the option to add a new mail account or you may modify an existing account.
(Some versions of Outlook Express require you to add an account first and then
modify your account).
Step 4 Enter your Name
Enter your Name.
Click Next
Step 5 Enter your email address
Enter the email address you are configuring your Outlook Express for. This would be the username that you have from Step 1.
Click Next
Step 6 choose your protocol
Choose your protocol that you want to use, select POP.
Enter in the Incoming mail server text box the Mail server you
gathered in Step 1. Enter in the Outgoing mail server text box the
SMTP Server you gathered in Step 1.
Click Next
Step 7
Enter your username and password that you gathered in Step 1. The Account Name that you enter will be the username.
Click Next
Step 8
Click Finish and you are done setting up your Mail server access so you can now recieve mail!
Step 9
Now we must set up your SMTP access so you can send mail.
Click on "Tools" from the Menu Bar and then select "Accounts...".
You will then click the email account you just created, when you click the account it will become highlighted. Now click the properties button. this will open the properties screen for the email account. When the properties screen opens select the Servers Tab.
Click the My Server requires Authentication Checkbox, then click the Settings button , this will open the Outgoing Mail Server screen
Step 10
On the Outgoing Mail Server screen. Click the Log on using radio button. Enter your SMTP Account and SMTP Password in the correct text boxes. NOTE: You do NOT want to use Secure Password Authentication with MODAware SMTP servers.
Click OK of the Outgoing Mail Server screen
Click Apply of the properties screen
